Hotel Taj Inn

The restaurant is close enough to the Taj Mahal, about half a kilometre away, and you can see the monument from inside. Breakfast was decent, and the management was attentive. The rooms were clean, staff courteous, and service prompt. Hotel Taj inn seems like good value for families or solo travellers visiting the Taj city. I highly recommend it.

Don't stay here. The rooms were dirty and had a foul smell, the walls are thin, and there was a lot of noise. Service was basically nonexistent, and the front desk was rude and dismissive when I asked for basic toiletries. There was no brush kit, and other toiletries were missing. They even charged extra after I'd booked through agoda. *PATHETIC*

The working staff were good, and the rooftop restaurant made food to suit our tastes and requests. The food there was good, and all the locations are within 3 km, with the Taj Mahal about 1 km away. The rooms were fine, but the washrooms are worn out. The manager and reception staff need to pay more attention to customer satisfaction. There are much better hotels for the same price in a better location. It's a decent hotel, but the washrooms and service need work.

The restaurant staff were the one bright spot. They were attentive and responded to what I needed promptly. The food itself was just average, and parking was a problem. The rest of the experience was poor. The front office was inattentive and nearly rude, the toilets were dirty, and the rooms felt dingy. The linen had stains, and the staff seemed dirty. I had to shout to get dental kits. At first they refused to provide hand towels, saying it wasn't their policy, and only reluctantly gave them after I insisted. This is a hotel in Agra I'd never want to stay at again.
