Hotel Vanshika Palace

The owner treated us well, the staff helped with our luggage, and the rooms were quiet. The hotel is in a superb location. We spent two nights in a non-AC room, though the old fan and cooler were noisy. There was no proper hand soap or bathroom mat, the towel and TV weren’t in working condition, and there was no Wi-Fi or cleaning service. At night, a foul kitchen smell and the stench from the common toilet reached our side of the hotel. The place needs improvement overall.

The building is old, and the plumbing made a lot of noise at night. There’s no Wi-Fi or breakfast option at the hotel. The location is good, the rooms are spacious, and both the staff and owner were helpful and kind.

The rooms were the weak point for us. They felt damp and cramped, especially the non-AC ones, and the coolers didn’t work properly. The bathrooms and commodes weren’t clean, and although there was enough water, it looked yellowish rather than clear. The entrance and lawn were kept up better. The hotel sits right in the center of Sadar Bajar, Agra, among local shops and branded stores like CCD, plus lots of ice cream parlours. We enjoyed the lassi, kulfi, and Maggi from nearby street stalls. It’s also not far from The TAJMAHAL and Agra Fort, and you can get there by auto. I’d say it suits a lower middle class family, but the hotel should maintain its rooms and bathrooms better.

It’s an old hotel in a good location, and OM Restaurant has good food. The room cleaning needs to improve.
