They moved us after we complained, but the replacement room had broken taps, stained walls and dirty bedsheets. The bathroom flooded when we used it. In the first room, the ceiling was coming down and nearly hit my laptop; the lights didn't work, the bathroom was dirty, the walls were stained with gutka, the taps and jet were broken, both locks didn't work, there was no water in the morning, and the geyser was broken. There was also abuse engraved on the walls. They had two kids, probably around 12, doing housekeeping. Before all that, they told us we had to pay 12% GST, though it wasn't mentioned in the policies.

They show nice pictures of Hotel Jalsa on OYO, then after you've paid a non-refundable advance, you check in and complain about the place. They ask you to move to Hotel Jalsa across the road for another Rs. 300-500 on top of your existing package. That's how they earn, and unfortunately OYO is part of this scam ;). They may be the owners or have a tie-up with Hotel Jalsa. The OYO rating says 4.1, but the reality is 0.1 star. Broken walls, peeling ceiling paint, dirty rooms, washroom, fans, bedsheets, taps, and water that either doesn't come or comes with mud in it. The 15-year-old sockets are coming out of the wall and could give you a shock. Stay safe and away from places like this.

No water even in the toilet, the AC is broken, and the TV doesn't work. The room is very dim, and neither the room nor toilet doors close properly. There's no key to lock the room. This is entirely OYO's fault.

Check the room before booking, even if it's through OYO. If you've come from a good background, please don't go there. It's a low-standard hotel with a high price.
