Sunita homestay

We only stayed one night, even though we'd booked two, because the place needs serious cleaning and maintenance. The location is great, just a few minutes from the Taj Mahal East Entrance, and the owners were kind. But the facilities were in poor condition and the rooms weren't clean. The first room had no hot water, so we switched. The next had very weak pressure and a dirty toilet. The towels were stained, the bed was dusty and the walls were extremely thin. Only half the rooms have showers inside, and they're shared with the other rooms. AC costs extra. Nice people, but we left early.

We were treated like family, fed like kings, and learned a lot about India and its culture during our two nights at Sunita homestay in Agra. We came across the place amid the turbulence of Indian negotiations, and it made the rest of our trip much easier logistically. The owner used to be a tour guide, so he knows how to help with travel in Agra or taking a train elsewhere, and he explains pricing clearly. The roof has a spectacular view if monkeys don't scare you! P.S.A. Some tuktuks will claim the place is closed so they can take you somewhere else. Contact the owner beforehand to get sorted out!

After a long journey, we stayed here for a night and felt right at home. The rooms were big, clean and lovely, and the hosts welcomed us warmly and made us delicious food. It's a great base for visiting Taj Mahal. In the morning we walked there easily by following one road that leads straight to it. Thanks for the lovely stay.

The bed was far too hard and uncomfortable. Lying on my side, I could feel my hipbones. The AC also takes a long time to cool the room, and you can't adjust the temperature yourself. Still, if those things don't bother you, I'd recommend staying here. The location felt perfect and very safe for me as a blond solo female traveler, whether walking in the evening or at 5am to Taj Mahal. My room and bathroom were very clean, and the shower pressure was perfect, even though I'd read other reviews saying it wasn't good.
