The woman at reception told me to post a review online so management could be taught a lesson. The room itself was a mess: the AC was dead, the fan was useless, and the TV wouldn’t turn on. With no working climate control or electronics, it felt like an expensive storage room. The place came across as a total waste of money, and management seemed to have no respect for guests or the property. The maintenance is practically nonexistent, so don’t trust the photos. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

The front office staff’s attitude made an already disappointing visit worse. Service was third-rate at this average hotel, and I’d look at other options near the airport. This property just isn’t worth the trouble.

There’s a lot of construction nearby right now, so the area is dusty. The building is old, but the rooms are a good size.

I’d like to see more choices on the food menu, especially regional or continental dishes. What they served was tasty and prepared well, though the range was limited. Ashray Inn Express otherwise gave me a pleasant, peaceful stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Getting in and checking out were both smooth. The location made it easy to reach transport and essential services. I’d recommend it and would return.

The staff are very cooperative, and the rooms are clean. It’s close to Sabarmati Ashram and the river Lake front, and it’s one of the better economical hotels near Sabarmati Ashram.
