Hotel Comfort

The location is good, but the rooms feel cramped and uncomfortable. The amenities are awful, and the bathroom is in a terrible state. I’d only choose this place if it were my last option.

Check-in turned into a frustrating argument over documents. We had several valid proofs of marriage, including passports listing our spouse names, but staff would accept only a physical Marriage Certificate and wouldn’t accommodate us without it. We ended up taking another room and paying ₹3,000 extra, which felt unreasonable. I still don’t understand why they require that one certificate when other government IDs show the relationship. It felt as though the strict documentation rules might be used to raise occupancy, rather than for safety or compliance. Be careful about what documents you bring, since the hotel’s approach can lead to unnecessary charges. Very disappointing.

The clean bed linen and comfortable bed were welcome, and Anupama at reception was good during check-in. The bell boy helped with our luggage, and the female housekeeping team were diligent. But the bathroom was in very poor shape: the shower didn’t work, the fittings were corroded, and the tap water was extremely saline. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, and the restaurant staff seemed indifferent. At night, Taufik at the front desk was discourteous and showed no respect when speaking to a guest. He also seemed unwilling to understand the discomfort caused. I’m appalled that hotel management hires people like this. There was loud pulsing music from across the road late into the night, so it was hard to relax in the room. The poor construction and soundproofing didn’t help. I chose this hotel only because nothing else was available. If you have another option, don’t stay here.

Hotel Comfort is a reasonable choice for travelers watching their budget. The rates are fair, and it covers the basic needs with essential amenities, clean rooms, and decent furnishings for a good night’s sleep. The common areas are kept up, and the atmosphere is pleasant. It’s a satisfactory 3-star stay, though not luxurious. Staff are generally friendly and accommodating, but the service can feel less personal than at a higher-end hotel. There can also be maintenance problems or outdated facilities. Even with those drawbacks, it’s convenient and fuss-free for the price.
