I booked FabHotel Namantara two months ahead for 7-9 March at about ₹3,500 a night, then paid ₹1,100 upfront two days before check-in. On the morning of 7th March, the hotel called to say the rate had jumped to ₹11,000 per night. They said I’d have to pay the difference or lose the room. The staff were rude and left me on hold for 30 minutes without properly dealing with the issue. They didn’t honor the confirmed booking, and they still haven’t refunded my advance. Very disappointing, unprofessional, and unethical. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I checked out the very next morning because the whole place felt scary. The online view wasn’t what I found: the room smelled awful, like it had been locked up for ages. The bedsheets and towels were dirty, and so was the bathroom. Worst location, rooms, and place.

The bathroom cleaning was very poor, and the bedsheet and pillow weren’t good. There was no ventilation in the deluxe room, and no fire extinguisher or firefighting system. A very poor experience.

It’s a budget hotel and was kept clean, though some rooms have no ventilation.

We managed to get accommodation after they cancelled our advance booking without even speaking to us. Then we found the bathroom was super unhygienic, and the door knob was broken. We told them, but they never fixed it.
