Hotel Alice by OYO Rooms

I really regret booking here without reading the other reviews first. The owner and staff were rude and wouldn't honor OYO bookings. After customers had already booked and paid online through OYO, they pressured and harassed us to pay extra when we arrived. They even laughed while we were dealing with the unexpected demand. When I complained, the receptionist said he didn't care what customers thought because he already had plenty of bad Google ratings. There should be a zero-star option.

The rooms were filthy, with cockroaches and dirty sheets, and the room service was awful. The price doesn't match the service at all. I wouldn't recommend making a reservation here.

For a short, budget stay or a few hours of rest, this place can work. It's near Visat Circle, and the manager was friendly and cooperative. The rooms and beds are small, and the bathrooms are just manageable. Watch out for unexpected steps at the entrance and in some rooms. The hotel is on the seventh floor of the Sungrace building, and the lift is a real hassle. It runs very slowly, and usually only one lift serves the whole floor.

Hotel Alice has an affordable feel and a convenient location, and the staff were friendly and cooperative. But during the COVID-19 outbreak, I noticed that staff weren't consistently wearing masks, hand sanitizer wasn't provided, and rooms didn't seem to be thoroughly sanitized. I also had to keep asking for amenities instead of receiving proactive service. Addressing those health precautions and service gaps would make the stay feel safer and improve the value. I hope the feedback helps Hotel Alice improve.
