We went there on a weekend for a ring ceremony. The function hall had a good atmosphere and could accommodate about 100 to 150 people. The food was tasty, and the hotel is easy to reach, right beside baalvatika. Nearby options include baalvatika, kakaria lake, and gamezone. Check the timings before you go, since gamezone mostly closes by 10 pm.

The pure veg food was a hit with our guests, and Aashvi Banquet Hall was just the right size for our ceremony, with good lighting and upkeep. We held wedding celebrations at Hotel G Express, and the team helped coordinate both the guest stay and banquet functions in a professional, accommodating way. Our out-of-town relatives found the clean, modern rooms comfortable. Being near Kankaria Lake was handy for photos and getting around. It made for a stress-free wedding venue in Ahmedabad.

The location is the one real plus: it feels safe and is conveniently close to Kankaria Lake. The cleanliness and service were a different story. I saw a cockroach on a buffet item, and staff killed it there and then carried on serving without acknowledging it or taking corrective action. There were two more near the buffet setup, which was worrying from a hygiene perspective. Cockroaches were also around the dining area and elsewhere on the property. At the front desk, we were told we had to buy breakfast for every day of our stay because the system couldn’t process a single day. After we argued, it suddenly could. That felt misleading and unprofessional.

The breakfast was good, and the location was great, just 100 miter from kankariya gate no 5. We stayed in a Deluxe room at Hotel G Express in December 2025, but it felt very small for the price. The central AC was unpleasant, and there was no way to adjust the temperature, only turn it on or off.
