Hotel Rest & Peace

The hotel is very close to the airport, and our room was roomy and comfortable. It was clean too, and the staff treated us like family. I’d recommend it for families or business travelers.

The photos make this place look much more fabulous than it is. Our airline arranged rooms after our flight was canceled, and the stay didn't match the pictures. They say there are separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, but the kitchens aren't working. They take your order and get it from another dhaba instead. We were given puri without Sabri, and they decide how much you're allowed to eat.

The rooms and bathrooms were unhygienic, and the place felt really gross. When we asked to cancel the rest of our stay because of the cleanliness, the receptionist and owner took it personally and behaved badly. The staff weren't supportive at all. The furniture smelled bad, and the rooms had poor ventilation and little natural light. The lighting was also old and dull.

The staff were rude and unprofessional, and basic room maintenance was poor. Even after a two-day gap, the room wasn't properly cleaned, and the toilet stayed dirty despite attempts to clean it. The bathroom door was broken and its lock didn't work, which left privacy and safety in question. Clothes we sent to the laundry came back badly torn. Food was another problem. Breakfast was worse than street food, and it might not arrive until 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, so we sometimes had to leave without eating. Lunch was usually low-quality dal chawal with little variety or nutritional value. With the hygiene, service, meals, broken facilities, and damaged laundry all adding up, I’d avoid this hotel. It doesn’t provide the comfortable, safe stay guests should be able to expect.
