Hotel Shertown

The staff were polite, responsive, and always ready to help, and Mr. Ajay Modi deserves a special mention. He was kind and professional, and made sure everything went smoothly from check-in onward. The room was clean and comfortable, and very affordable for the value. I had a really great stay at this Ahmedabad hotel. Highly recommended for a budget stay with such good hospitality. I’d definitely choose it again.

We stayed eight nights and were made comfortable throughout. Hotel owner and hotel Manager Sh. Ajay Modi exceeded all expectations. During our stay, my brother-in-law was visiting Saurashtra Gujarat and suffered heart failure in Ahemadanad while fortunately at the Shertown hotel. Sh. Ajay Modi immediately called an ambulance and got him shifted to a hospital of repute. He kept visiting during the recovery, including with his nice & humble wife. His selfless help to others has made him a lifelong friend. Our heartfelt thanks to the owner, Mr Modi, and his nice family.

This was my second stay, and it’s the people at this hotel who make it memorable. Ajay Modi, the 66 years old manager, went looking for my shoulder bag at the station after I left it on the platform while rushing to catch a train. I called the hotel in a panic because it held my wallet, charger, important documents, and cash. He didn’t know me personally, but searched all over the platform, checked a few times, found the bag, and kept it safe. He said sending cash by courier was risky, so on a video call he opened my wallet, counted every rupee in front of me, and sent the amount by GPay right away. The next day he packed up the bag carefully and couriered it, then checked in afterward to make sure I’d received it and see if I needed help. Who does that for a stranger? People like him are rare. God bless him. I know I’ll stay here every time I visit Ahmedabad. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the station is walkable from here. Prices are very reasonable compared with nearby options. Don’t judge it by the exterior, it’s genuinely good once you’re inside.

The rooms were clean, with clean bed sheets and toilets, and the whole stay was great. I visited twice in Feb and March 2026 for the T20 World Cup matches. Mr Mody, Arvindbhai, and the entire staff were courteous and very cooperative. Thanks and good wishes. Rajesh Thakkar, Mumbai
