Lalji's Hotel & Restaurant

The staff were rude and unhelpful, and I had a terrible experience at Hotel Lal Ji. I ordered plain khichdi for a patient and was charged ₹170, which felt far too much for such a basic dish. The whole menu is overpriced, apparently taking advantage of the hotel’s location near AIIMS and the patients and families who come there. I wouldn’t recommend it. Avoid it.

I booked through Goibibo, but when I arrived the hotel refused check-in because the rate on the site was too low. The person there cancelled my booking and sent us outside, saying the hotel wouldn’t accept Goibibo’s price. Whatever the rooms, rent, or location are like, this incident gave me the impression that the hotel puts money ahead of customer satisfaction.

I booked a room two months ago for 1100/-, but now they say there are no rooms available and refuse to check me in. I called again pretending to be another customer and asked for the same dates, and they were ready to offer a room at a higher price. Complete fraudsters. I’ll forward the case to the consumer forum.

There was a bed and food nearby, but almost everything in the room was a problem. The AC and fan regulator didn’t work, the TV seemed to be there just for show, there was no hot water, and the electric switchboard was broken. The room also had poor ventilation. It was a very bad experience, and I’d choose somewhere else.
