Mangalbag Gallery and residency

I had a lovely chance to see Richa Dalwani's heritage craftsmanship in person at the 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼 𝗔𝗺𝗱𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗱 exhibition by 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 at 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. The exhibition was open to guests today, Sunday, for one day, from 11 am to 9 pm. Speaking with Richa Dalwani, founder of The Heritage Art, I learned that the exhibition aims to promote Ahmedabad's heritage, art, tourism and culture. She hopes local people will preserve the city's legacy as part of everyday life and make it appealing to tourists. There were interactive activities including Spin Thy Charkha, Textile Prints & Patterns, KehKarTohDekho – Write a Postcard!, Wall of Heritage – Postcards Exhibit, and I ♥ Ahmedabad Photobooth. I also enjoyed the embroidery, hand block-printed khadi, souvenirs, artifacts and photographs. It was fun to enjoy art alongside eating, shopping, photography and the other products on display.
