Marlihill Bungalow - CGH Earth

Right in the heart of Ooty city, this is a lovely place to relax. The rooms were clean and cozy. The manager couple were professional and warm, and looked after us well. Food was appetising and service prompt. They even went out of their way to find accommodation for our drivers. I’d definitely visit again.

Our daughter had her best birthday here, and we’re definitely coming back. The property is amazing, quiet, and quaint, and the staff are beautiful. Amal runs it with kindness and love. Chef Santosh makes homely meals when asked, Vishnu is always smiling, and chatting with Geethu makes you feel welcome.

We found Marlihill surprisingly quiet and peaceful, despite being so close to the main Ooty town area. It’s a lovely little place on a hill, on a picturesque, windy corner near St. Stephen Church. Amal and the team made us feel right at home and went the extra mile to keep us comfortable. Vishnu was always ready to help, made great masala chai and coffee, and even handmade a custom gift for my husband. Pranay took excellent care of us at meals, while Chef Badhusha and Santhosh made delicious meals and snacks. Housekeeping were prompt with cleaning and upkeep. For my husband’s birthday, the team arranged a vegan cake baked specially by the chef. It tasted really good, and they also set up a sweet surprise for him in the library room. Thanks to everyone for making our stay memorable. We hope to visit Marlihill again soon.

I was only in Ooty for one night when I found this newly opened CGH property on Google. It’s small but lovely, with a charming feel and large, clean, cozy rooms. Manager Mr. Amaljit, his wife, and the rest of the Marlihill staff made me feel very welcome and made sure I had what I needed. I’m especially grateful that they prepared my food to suit my requirements. I’d recommend spending some time at Marlihill if you’re in Ooty.
