I stayed at Hotel Shri Krishna Palace, Ahmedabad, from 3-6 February 2026, and had one of my worst and most unsafe hotel experiences. At checkout, they refused to bill the full amount I had paid, leaving out the extra money collected earlier. When I challenged this billing fraud, the property manager became abusive and threatening and picked up a stick to intimidate me physically, while the property owner was present. It was frightening and a serious failure of guest safety. At check-in, the property manager had demanded extra money for early check-in, which hadn’t been disclosed when I booked. When I asked to pay by credit card, I was told there’d be an additional 2.5% charge, which I found unethical and unacceptable. I paid through Paytm to avoid further confrontation. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel, especially if safety, transparency, and basic professionalism matter to you. This kind of behavior shouldn’t be tolerated at a hotel listed on reputed booking platforms.

The room was very nice, and the hotel staff provided very good service. There’s basement parking as well as front parking.

When I wanted to check out early in the morning, the person at reception was asleep. My family and I were alone during a hectic travel season, so I wouldn’t advise staying here. The room was very dirty, with lots of mosquitoes and no mosquito mat or liquid available. The water geyser wasn’t working despite the severe cold, and the toilet seat was broken and unrepaired.

I came to Ahmedabad in March 24 for only half a day because of work. The staff were cooperative, and otherwise it’s a good hotel. But please provide clean water in the electric kettles, along with toothpaste and toiletries in the room. Any general hotel provides these facilities.

It’s close to Asarva Railway station and okay for the price if you’re staying just a few hours. The hotel owner was cooperative, but cleanliness needs improvement. The building construction still isn’t complete, and only this hotel is operating there. The surrounding area isn’t good, there’s no comfortable space for families to relax, and there are no good restaurants nearby, so online food is the only option.
