Shri Akshar Hotel

I had a really bad experience at Akshar Restaurant near Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. The dishes were stale, tasted foul, and seemed to have been prepared without basic cleanliness. I also noticed poor hygiene in the kitchen and careless food handling. That’s especially worrying beside a major hospital, where patients and their attendants come looking for safe meals. I’d urge people to avoid eating here for their health and safety. Authorities should inspect the restaurant and take action. Don’t risk your health here.

The rooms are just ok, and the service is good. The location near Civil Hospital Ahmedabad is useful for people who need to stay close by, for example when relatives are admitted there. The room fan regulator wasn’t working properly. I asked for it to be repaired, but there was no response.

The restaurant food is super tasty, but the rooms and furniture need a deep clean. I’ve stayed here regularly, and lately I’ve found bed bugs in the beds. They say the rooms are clean and the linen fresh, but the beds and upholstery need proper sanitisation. I couldn’t sleep because of the bugs. I changed rooms, but that didn’t help.

The food tastes fabulous and feels authentic. I’ve never tried food this tasty before. The staff are all very polite, and the rooms and kitchen are excellent in terms of hygiene.
