SPOT ON 75190 Hotel Gitanjali Inn

Good.

My wife and I got off the train at 2:15 am, then spent about two hours looking for another hotel before finding one around 4:00. That was after Hotel Geetanjali, Kalupur, Ahmedabad cancelled our room just before we arrived. I’d called on September 26, 2025 to book for September 27, from 2:30 am until 6:00 pm. The receptionist quoted ₹1,300 and asked for ₹650 in advance by UPI. I paid through a QR code sent on WhatsApp, and the hotel confirmed the check-in and checkout times in the chat with “OK.” At 12:30 am, someone called from the same hotel number to say they wouldn’t accept the ₹1,300 booking anymore, that I’d have to pay for two days, and that my room was cancelled. When I objected, they told me, “Do what you want,” and refunded only the ₹650 deposit. This was completely wrong and, in my view, fraudulent and a violation of consumer rights.
