Sterling Banashree Badami

We’d left our baby’s shoes behind after checkout, but when we called, the resort found them and brought them to us about 10 km away. That was such thoughtful service. We stayed as a family in the Garden View Cottage with Sit-Out, the resort’s premier option. The room was spacious, the sit-out was lovely for relaxing among nature, and room service was quick. It was peaceful, with enough to keep us busy all day: swimming, badminton, chess, board games, carrom, darts, archery, and other outdoor sports. They also support EV charging, though it’s best to call ahead to check availability. A relaxing, activity-filled family getaway near Badami, and we had an amazing time.

The road to the property is the main downside, and it’s especially rough if you’re coming from the west. Once there, though, Sterling Badami is a nice place to stay in Badami. We spent three nights in a cottage surrounded by nature. The room was a good size, with the basic amenities, though not many of the extras you’d expect at a high-end hotel. Staff service was excellent.

The food could use more variety and better quality. The dessert selection was quite small, there weren’t many non-vegetarian choices, and the vegetarian dishes felt repetitive from one meal to the next. Check-in was smooth, and Mr. Tanzi at the front desk promptly helped with all our requests. Mr. Uttham at the restaurant was courteous and took time to explain the menu, which made dining easier. More variety in the buffet would improve the experience.

Tenzy and Kushi treated us really well. The rooms were nice and clean, and we had a fantastic stay. The pool and other activities were good too, though the food was average. Badami property is missing a spa and wellness offering. I hope they consider my feedback, since people come here to relax and rejuvenate.
