Hotel Siddharth by OYO Rooms

The hotel is in a prime location, but it's only a two-star place and wasn't worth staying at. Cleanliness was poor in both the rooms and corridors. The bedsheets, pillow covers, and electric kettle were all dusty, and maintenance was dismal. The dining room is tiny, with no provision for washing your hands before or after eating. We had booked a one-night stay for 17.12.2024 through M/s. SOUTHERN TRAVELS. The full amount had been paid, and the booking was in my name through a third party, yet the receptionist demanded extra payment and kept us from checking in for nearly 30 minutes. I strongly advise people not to choose this hotel, even in an emergency.

The shower worked, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The room itself was a bit cramped for someone tall like me, but the accommodation was fairly comfortable and tidy. It's not far from the railway station. The free breakfast was disappointing, though I won't hold that against them. I still had a very good experience.

We'd stayed here two years ago and had an excellent experience, so we chose Hotel Siddhartha again. This time was simply bad. The change from Treebo to Oyo seems to have brought a decline. They'd removed the dining hall, and breakfast was brought to the room. Nothing was complimentary, even the water bottles cost extra, and there was no tea or coffee setup in the room anymore. The washroom commode lid wouldn't stay open unless you held it.

The room was tiny when we arrived, the kettle was dirty, and the air conditioner didn't work. They moved us to another room after 6 hours. The water they served was tap water in used bisleri bottles. Treebo makes the service sound attractive, but the stay didn't live up to that. Breakfast was awful, with uncooked roti and aloo curry that we couldn't finish. Dinner at the hotel was even worse. I checked out after one day. Please look for somewhere else.
