OYO 11620 Amare Highway Residency

Please avoid this place. Thanks to expedia for giving me such a terrible experience while arranging alternative accommodation.

The accommodation was a waste of money, with no service. The staff were good, though.

The owner, or the person at reception, spoke to us as though letting guests stay was some kind of charity. He was rude and uncultured, and the staff were no better. There wasn't clean water, and they made no effort to provide drinking water. Breakfast was included in our package, but he refused to serve it. Then he asked to use our phone to leave a rating; when we said no, he started playing cheap tricks. I'm not surprised by the positive comments here, since they seem to come from the property itself. OYO should focus on customer service instead of partnering with places like this. This was one of the worst places I've stayed.

We complained to customer service and, luckily, got our money back within three days. The booking was through goibibo and we'd paid the full amount by net banking, but at check-in the hotel staff demanded the entire amount in cash. They said OYO hadn't paid the hotel for months or years, so they wouldn't accept online payments. I'd had a similar problem at another OYO hotel, where the arrogant receptionist refused to give us a room as a family even though I'd paid in full online. Be careful when booking OYO rooms.
