Walking to nearby cafes and attractions was easy from this spot. We loved the stay: our room was spotless, stylish and incredibly comfortable, with a stunning view. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We arrived on 25th January with our infant daughter. I want to be clear that reception staff were polite and behaved properly. I have no complaint about them. Later that night, after my one-year-old ate the dal khichdi served at the rooftop restaurant, she became sick and vomited. Seeing my baby unwell was frightening and heartbreaking. My husband was trying to care for her while she was covered in vomit, and staff member Suresh asked me to clean it up myself. There was no empathy or concern for her condition. The lack of basic sensitivity left me emotionally shattered. I cried when we went to reception to complain because seeing my child suffer while being treated so insensitively felt unbearable. The hotel still charged us for the same dal khichdi that made my baby sick. Someone apologized the next day, but there was no refund, compensation or genuine attempt to put things right. The owner later replied politely, but there was still no real resolution. This could happen to any family traveling with a baby. In that situation, parents expect compassion and basic humanity. Sadly, we did not receive either. I’m sharing this so other parents can make an informed decision, and have attached the bill and communication for transparency. I sincerely hope no other mother goes through what I did. After this experience as a mother, I honestly don’t understand how the property has a rating above 4 stars. I was deeply disappointed.

We checked in on 25th Jan for two nights. The reception staff were polite and professional at check-in and during later follow-up, and I have no complaint about them. Our stay was ruined on the first night at the rooftop restaurant. After eating the hotel’s dal khichdi, our one-year-old daughter fell sick and vomited. We were extremely distressed. While I struggled to manage our sick baby, covered in vomit, restaurant staff member Suresh asked my wife to clean it herself. He showed no empathy or concern for our child and acted in a rude, inhumane way. The hotel still charged us for the dal khichdi despite what happened, which felt deeply insensitive. The next day, a reception staff member came to our room with Suresh and an apology was offered. It didn’t feel genuine, since there was no corrective action, refund or compensation. The owner later replied politely over message, but offered no real resolution. Families can find themselves in this situation, and guests expect basic compassion, especially when a baby is involved. We’ve attached the bill and our communication with the owner. I hope management takes this seriously and trains staff so another family doesn’t face the same treatment. Paying 7.5k for this service wasn’t worth the stay. This heartbreaking experience changed how I feel about Udaipur.

A decent place with good hospitality. We couldn’t get early check-in through makemy trip, but the manager was helpful and arranged it for us. If you’re looking for a budget option, this works. The rooms and washrooms could have been fresher and better managed.

At Hotel Atithi Bhawan, check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the well-kept atmosphere made it feel comfortable right away. It’s a lovely stay at an affordable price. I recommend it 😊👍
