Picasso Castle Hotel

The front desk staff were very helpful, and the best part was the breakfast they served at the nearest Saravana Bhawan. The location was very good, but the plumbing, woodwork, and paint in the rooms were falling apart, perhaps from low-quality materials or poor maintenance. The mattresses made the beds uncomfortable. I had to switch rooms and got one that was just okay for the night. Given the quality of the stay, I’d advise avoiding it.

At first sight, you might love the modern-looking room. Then you notice the seepage on the walls, the AC doesn’t work properly, bathroom taps have very slow water pressure, and the shower doesn’t work. Leave food on a table and ants will get to it. The hotel was completely reluctant to provide an extra bucket for bathing or any extra amenity needed in an emergency. The towels were pathetic, with fibres all over my face after I used one. I know it was within budget, but it wasn’t worth that much money.

Cockroaches and other insects were in the room, and the shower didn't work. When I asked for hot water because my throat was sore, they gave me dirty water in an open jug. The staff did bring mosquito repellent after I reported the mosquitoes, but later, when I left a bad review on oyo, they called and yelled at me. Staying there was a nightmare, one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.

The hotel does most things reasonably well, though it doesn't provide one of the services listed here. Its first impression suffers because the furniture, lights, walls, locks, and other fittings look dated. The upkeep of those things needs attention, as maintenance isn't being handled properly.
