The hosts made me feel like family, sharing stories and offering warm, humble hospitality. It’s clear they cherish this home, and leaving was hard. I still think about it after walking out the door, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, meaningful stay. The house has a rare sense of calm. Morning light comes through traditional windows, and the quiet surroundings and gentle pace of life make it soothing. Its architecture is breathtaking, with old-world charm and thoughtful comfort. The interiors have been cared for with real respect, so staying here feels like living in a piece of history. From the corridors to the preserved details, the home carries a strong sense of the past, warmth, and soul that modern places can’t offer.

The owners’ mom and staff were very friendly and helped us get hot water. The beach is about 950 metres away, an easy walk, and there are restaurants nearby. The rooms and toilets were hygienic, though we found some insects in the toilets, so check before using them. Lighting in both the rooms and toilets could be better, as it felt dim and dark. The location is good for indoor photography.

It was calm and relaxing around the homestay, and inside it felt cozy and just like home. The host was warm and ready to help whenever needed. We had a great stay and would come back, and recommend it to others.

A drunk man was shouting and banging on our door around 10 pm while we were trying to sleep. Having someone drunk on the premises made us feel unsafe, especially for women. Earlier, nobody was at reception when we arrived, so we waited 30 minutes before being assigned a room over the phone. An hour later, while we were out seeing the backwaters, they called to say it was the wrong room. We couldn’t return to hand over the keys then. I agreed to pay an extra 800 rs, but when I got back that evening I waited until 9 pm for them to come and discuss it. After the man shouted at me, I got fed up and decided not to pay or move to the original room. I’d planned to pay at checkout in the morning, but by then I was too frustrated. It wasn’t my fault, yet he was yelling at me. Think twice before booking, this could happen to you too.

The ambience was nice, but there was no real service and hygiene was poor. There are no basics, and it’s very inconvenient for families. We had to carry water in a bucket a long way to the room because there was no hot water in the room. The bathroom was so cramped there wasn’t enough space to stand comfortably. There’s no car parking, so we had to leave the car on the public road at our own risk. The professionalism was hardly visible, and it wasn’t worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists with limited time.
