PrivyStays Kurul Villa

The pool was full of dead insects, lizards, and dry leaves, and there was no electricity or water despite the separate premium charges for the stay and food. They charged around ₹1,200 to ₹1,500 per plate, served food only once, and wouldn’t repeat starters or main dishes even when guests were still hungry. We raised these problems throughout the day, but nothing was resolved. Their area manager came, took feedback, and said, “We will be better next time.” After such atrocious hospitality, why would anyone want to come back? This has to be one of the most horrible places I’ve stayed.

The online photos give a much better impression than the property deserves, and it definitely wasn’t worth the price. It’s advertised as a villa, but the setup feels like cramped chawl-style housing: five tiny rooms around a shared open space. That area isn’t enclosed, so it’s too hot to use during the day and uncomfortable at night with mosquitoes and insects. There’s no way to use AC in the wall-less common area, and the cooler they provided didn’t help in the hot, humid weather. The rooms barely have room for luggage, and the bathrooms are old, rusty, and poorly maintained. It felt more like servant quarters than a premium villa. The servant room is right next to one of the bedrooms, separated only by a wall. There are also drainage manholes just below the TV area in the open living space, and they constantly smell foul.

The villa has a good structure, and the local ladies who cooked for us made some amazing food. Sanjay and Shivendra also made the experience even better. The only issue was the fluctuating electricity.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa. The ambience was peaceful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were great. I’d definitely recommend it.
