After a 24-hour journey, I arrived late at night with my luggage and had to find somewhere else to stay, paying much more. I’d prepaid through OYO for two nights, but the manager denied check-in, saying my booking wasn’t showing in his app. OYO support tried calling him, but I watched him silence the ringing phone; support then said hotel staff couldn’t be reached. I handed him my phone and got the same excuse. He talked about OYO taking 30% of the booking and policemen staying free that night, then wanted me to pay separately for the room I’d already paid for. Please don’t give in to this kind of harassment, whatever it costs. We need to discourage this behavior if we want to make our nation better.

The manager repeatedly says the room isn’t available at the listed price and asks for more money if you want one. The Oyo app shows a different amount, about half of what they offer, and they cancel the booking.

The reception guy was really rude, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The app showed 499, but they charged me 1200. What’s the point of Oyo, and why does it hire hotels like this? Pathetic.

When I got to the property, the owner demanded extra money and said they wouldn’t provide a room for the price I’d paid through Oyo. They started harassing me and trying to extort money. Don’t book through Oyo.

They wouldn’t give us an AC room, and getting a room at all turned into a lot of trouble. I felt the reason was Hindu and Muslim. A very, very bad experience.
