For my brief 1.5-day stop in Almora after two weeks in higher Kumaon, Goodwill Homestay near the Almora ISBT was a straightforward, comfortable choice. Mr. Lalit Mishra hosted me and gave me a corner room with a spacious balcony and plenty of sunlight throughout the day. The high ceiling made it feel open. The WiFi was fast enough for work, and there was a smart TV. The bathroom had steady water and a working geyser. There was construction nearby, but Mr. Mishra arranged a simple, well-prepared dinner. He also gave clear advice on local transport and onward travel to Haldwani.

Hot water was available, and the homemade food was delicious, with a real home-cooked feel. Good Will Homestay in Almora (UK town) was very clean and well kept. The host was exceptionally kind, and the service was impressive. The one small drawback is the many stairs down to the property. Even so, for Almora this is one of the most reasonable and comfortable stays you'll find. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it ☺️👍

At ₹700 a night, this homestay is excellent value. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept, and the friendly hosts made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. It's peaceful, with all the basic amenities provided without any trouble. A great choice for budget travellers, solo visitors or small families. I was honestly surprised by how good it was for such an affordable price. I'd happily stay again.

We spent four days here with friends and felt as if we were living at home. The rooms were nice, the owner was very humble, and he showed us how to explore Almora and nearby places. The food was really good and there was more than enough.

The owner was so polite, and everything felt like home. He explained the routes and transport connections, including how to get around easily and within budget. We were all very happy with our stay and will choose this place again.
