Sun N Snow Inn Kausani by Leisure Hotels

We arrived around 8:00 pm on 31st dec 2016 after booking four delux rooms, and the stay was very poor. Two rooms were substandard and the other two only just okay. There was no hot water at the wash basin, and in room 404 they said a heater couldn’t be used because there were no power points. The carpet was dirty and smelly, the soap was not suitable even for hand washing, and the door had no handle lock, so we had to put the “kundi” on whenever we left or it would swing open. The leaking bathroom tap made a noise; when I mentioned it, the house boy rudely told me to use it a certain way instead of fixing it. Service was sometimes rude, and they refused to arrange music by the bone-fire for the New Year party. They charged 1800 for a room and service that, to me, weren’t worth even 800. I’m asking goibibo for a refund. This was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We got there late at night and had no other option. The staff member handling us seemed to have been drinking, the food was below average, and they got our order wrong. Service was bad, though there were no security issues. Pick somewhere else if you can.

Being right on the NH means passing trucks make so much noise that sleeping is difficult. The rooms are basic, restaurant service is pathetic, and the tap water supply is irregular. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families.
