The care from the team at Hotel Kumaon began before we arrived and continued until we got safely back home. That kind of follow-up and attention was rare and much appreciated. Manager Mr. Abhinav handled everything smoothly, and Mr. Suraj, Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Naveen Adhikari, Mr. Pushkar, Mr. Rohit, and Mr. Saurav were consistently helpful, responsive, and courteous. Our rooms were well maintained, thanks to housekeeping, especially Mr. Nandan (Housekeeping), Mr Puran, and Mr. Gaurav. The food was fresh, tasty, and consistently good. Chef Mr. Naveen Adhikari made dining especially memorable: the Broccoli Soup, Ragi Kheer, and Gulab Jamuns were highlights, all fresh and perfectly prepared. Mr. Nandan (Naturalist) also added a lot with his knowledge and guidance. The whole team did everything we could have expected and more. Thank you for such a comfortable, memorable stay.

We loved having Juno, Elsa, Coco, and Gucci around. Juno and Elsa, the rescue dogs at the resort, inspired us to take the trip, and discovering Coco and Gucci too was a lovely bonus. Our stay was split between one night in the garden chalet and three in the terrace chalet, with stunning Himalayan views every morning. The Kumaon feels rooted in sustainability, mindfulness, and love for nature. Everything was warm and intentional. We asked for vegan food, and Chef Naveen went above and beyond with a vegan kumaoni thali and a different dessert at every meal. The food was deeply satisfying. Suraj, our resident naturalist, arranged guided treks to Kasar Devi one day and the waterfall another day, so we could take in the region’s beauty. Everyone at the resort was warm and thoughtful, and the culture Abhinav (GM) created clearly shows in how the staff treat guests. We loved every moment and will be back soon.

I really liked the industrial design, the bed was super comfortable, and I kept the fireplace on the whole time. The rooms are amazing, and the staff were helpful and thoughtful about what guests needed. The place is a bit remote, so you need a car. The food could be better.

The hospitality was amazing, and the views are truly breathtaking. We asked them to prepare local Kumaon food, and it was so good. The place is also very close to Kasar Devi Temple. Would love to come back.
