From the top of the hill, you get a great view of Alwar town. The site is in Alwar, Rajasthan, and the palace ruins date to 1882, when Maharaja Nangal Singh built it as the royal family's palace. There are also two small temples in the ruins inside the hill, the laxminarayan temple and a ganesh temple. At the summit, there’s a remarkable place of worship shared by two faiths, with a temple and dargah side by side and no wall between them. People of both faiths worship together there. The temple is dedicated to Sankat Mochan Vir Hanuman, while the dargah holds the tomb of Sayyad Darbar. On Thursdays, bhajans play over loudspeakers in the morning and qawallis in the evening. Worth a visit.
