Hotel Ishita Residency

We had no electricity in our AC room from 10 pm until 4 am, and staff told us the hotel had no generator. We went to reception at least ten times during that stretch, but they barely listened to our complaints and went to sleep with a table fan for themselves. We told them repeatedly how unhappy we were. If there’s CCTV, please check the footage. We can also share our video privately. The staff were insensitive.

The good parts were clean linens, working AC, and staff who behaved well. But room 002, where we stayed, wasn’t in good shape: there was a damp patch on the wall, the shower didn’t work properly, and the bathroom lock jammed until a service boy came to open it. The location also wasn’t great, around 3.5 km from the railway station and about the same distance from Jaliwanwala Bagh and the Golden Temple.

The staff were cooperative, and WiFi was available. The rooms had some space, but the bedding wasn’t properly clean. There was a smell in the rooms that made it hard to breathe, and poor ventilation made the stay uncomfortable. The bathrooms were awful, badly built, and cramped.

We never checked in because my father died suddenly, so we asked for a refund. The staff never responded properly or spoke politely, and they seemed interested only in money, with no service or courtesy. We lost 41 thousands, and they didn’t even give us 50% back, despite the difficult situation. I wish I could give a negative star rating.
