Fabhotel The Comfort

The room was cramped, poorly kept, and nowhere near what I'd expect from a "Deluxe Room" at that price. We were also charged extra for basic drinking water. The bathroom tap was broken, and the temporary fix we got didn't solve the problem. At check-in, the room was filthy, with dirty sheets and blankets and a bad smell. We asked several times for it to be cleaned, but the staff didn't take proper care of it. The service was just as disappointing, and guest comfort didn't seem to matter. This was a terrible stay at FabHotel The Comfort, Prayagraj, U.P. I expected much better, and wonder how FabHotels lets a property like this operate under its brand.

At least they let us check in early, which was the one decent thing they did for us. We had to switch rooms because the first one smelled strongly of smoke, like someone had been smoking in it. The rooms weren't clean, and I saw lots of red spit marks on the wall. The bathroom and toilets were a disaster. No toiletries were provided, so we had to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and hand wash. The staff weren't friendly or welcoming.

I booked two rooms through a call with help from the MMT app. They quoted a price, plus an extra charge for checkout at 4 p.m. I agreed and paid a token amount. But when we arrived, the staff were rude about the price I'd been told. The next morning they spent so much time arguing about what I owed that they wasted my time. I asked why I should pay them more. My family also discussed it with the hotel owner, but they wouldn't cooperate. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in India so far. I could write more, but it feels like a waste of time. Please consider this before booking.

It's a new property and the rooms are maintained, but they're very small. The staff seem unprofessional, and the overall stay was average. You have to ask for basic toiletries like soap and shampoo, and even drinking water needs reminding. If you question it, they say customers have to call and ask. There's no tea or coffee in the room, and the electric kettle doesn't work. They don't mention the complimentary breakfast unless you ask. We said we'd check out by 8 AM the next morning, then were told breakfast would only be served after 8.30 AM, so we had to skip it.
