It's only about 300 to 400 metres from the nearby gurudwara sahib, which is a good location. The service was very poor, though. The furniture staff behaved badly and wouldn't cooperate, and there was no hot water for a shower.

The rooms are lovely and cool, and I liked the place even more because it's near the golden temple. Service was much faster than I expected. Fantastic.

Hotel Majestic is in a good location, but the rooms are third-rate and the overall condition was very poor when we stayed on 28 March. There was no water in the washrooms, no jet in the flush, and the rooms were small.

If you're only spending a little time in the room, it may be okay for the price, but a longer stay could be a problem, and I wouldn't recommend it for families. The rooms feel stuffy and the bathroom is tiny, with only about two feet of space to bathe. There are no tower signals in the rooms at the back, and the hotel's Wi-Fi doesn't reach there either. The TV has no subscribed channels, so there's no entertainment. For hot water, you have to ask them to switch on the geyser power each time, then wait 25 to 30 minutes for it to heat up.

It was fine for a solo traveller or business person, and the location was easy to find with Google Maps. The hotel is about 500 metres from the Golden Temple and roughly 900 metres from its parking area. Booking through Goibibo got me a room for ₹300, but using the AC or geyser wasn't included. Recommended.
