Hotel Tamanna - 50 Meter from Golden Temple

The staff were polite, attentive, and ready to help with a smile, and the service was quick. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel is just a short walk from the Golden Temple, so getting there early in the morning or in the evening was easy. I had a wonderful stay in Amritsar and would recommend it to anyone visiting, especially if they want to be near the temple.

The food was a highlight for me, with fresh, flavorful meals and a menu that had plenty of variety. The rooms were spacious and tidy, and housekeeping kept everything in great shape during my visit. The whole place felt peaceful and homely, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Staff were polite, attentive, and cooperative, always greeting guests with a smile. The property was spotless, organized, and well maintained throughout. I had a wonderful time here and would happily return. It felt cozy and welcoming, and I’d recommend it to anyone who values comfort, cleanliness, and good service.

The only good thing is that it’s very close to Gurudwara. Otherwise, the rooms are tiny, the blankets were dirty, the towels were so old they weren’t usable, and there were lots of spider webs. There’s just one staff member for all the service. It took 45 minutes to get tea, and the kettle was filthy while the cups were broken. They’ve called the same hotel Astar Hotel, which is much cheaper, then named it Tamanna and blocked the entrance shown in the photos. There isn’t proper space to get a car in and out. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The ambience is nice, and the staff were great with good hospitality. If you’re planning a trip to Amritsar and want a nice stay at an affordable price, this is a good place.
