Hotel Temple Inn

I was given an expensive bill at checkout for 16 water bottles over a three-day stay, and no proper receipt. I hadn’t been told the bottles would be charged when I asked for water. No food service was available, and they didn’t provide water bottles. The towels were unclean, the rooms poorly maintained, and there was no proper ventilation. Staff were very rude. I definitely won’t stay here again.

The hotel has several room categories, all with AC and LED TV. Our suite had a good view of Fuwara Chowk, the beds were comfortable, and I slept well. The bathroom was hygienic, though toiletries weren’t there when we checked in and had to be requested. The corridors, reception, and lounge were clean. There’s a well-maintained restaurant on the top floor, but seating is limited. Its location is the main reason to choose it. It’s near Fuwara Chowk (Fountain Circle), close to the temple, Jalian Wala Bagh, Partition museum, and other major attractions. The downside is that taxis and auto rickshaws can’t reach the door, so you may have to walk up to 500Mtrs. Service was okay, though the staff could use more training in being humble and welcoming. If you’re traveling to Amrithsar in your own vehicle, I’d suggest choosing another hotel. -BeingBakasura

If you’re only visiting Golden temple for one night, this may be okay, but I wouldn’t recommend a longer stay. I was charged Rs 2600 for one night in a so-called SUPER DELUXE room that was tiny, stinky, humid, and had no window or ventilator. Cleanliness and service weren’t up to the mark. You have to ask for everything, including soap, towels, and even water. I had a terrible stay and wouldn’t waste my money here.

The only good part is that Golden temple is within walking distance. The rooms are very small, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, and the walls were peeling, so the place clearly wasn’t maintained properly. There were no windows in our room, and it had a smug smell whenever the door was closed.
