It felt almost like being at home at Johlz homestay. The family welcomed me warmly, and Gurinder was a lovely host who shared lots of insights about Amritsar and Sikh culture. I also enjoyed one of the best kulfas, freshly made at home. Thank you for the experience.

This homestay is a little away from the city and near the highway, which works well for people driving to Amritsar. We were a family of four and arrived after midnight, but Mr. Singh kindly received us and helped us settle in. Mrs. Singh was very kind too. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, home cooked, and served by the hosts. Mr. Singh is a guide and historian, and his interesting stories about Amritsar and its history made the stay memorable.

It’s a bit out of the way, but that makes it quiet, which is something you rarely get to experience in India. The owners are super nice. This is what a homestay should be like.
