We spent our evenings in the large shared hall, talking with friends and other guests. It gave Karta Purakh a homely feel, and the peaceful residential society has a small park right outside for morning walks. The hosts, Pavan and Navjot, were warm and quick to help. When we mentioned a small problem with the room lock, they had a carpenter fix it within a few hours. Navjot also pointed us toward affordable local shops. Getting around was straightforward from this location near the city. A Tuk Tuk cost ₹80 for four people, and Pavan arranged a well-priced cab to Palampur. The same driver returned four days later to take us to Amritsar Airport, which was handy. Breakfast was included and nicely made. There aren't hotels nearby, so we ordered dinner on Zomato. The hosts are vegetarian, so out of respect, it's better not to order non-veg food to the homestay. Small grocery shops are close, and we easily picked up milk and tea or coffee basics. We made tea several times a day without a problem.

The family made us feel at home, almost like we were staying with a Punjabi family. They were all kind, and the owner was especially good to us. We enjoyed the homemade breakfast and hearing them share stories about Amritsar's history. We had a lovely stay, and I'd recommend it for a longer visit too. Parking was very good.

The room was larger than we expected, with a big hallway and a balcony. It's in a quiet residential area, and the owner was kind, respectful, and soft-spoken. The Golden Temple and surrounding area are about 2 km away, an easy walk or e-rickshaw ride. We had a great stay and would happily come back.

We spent about a week here, and the hosts, Pawanji and Navjotji, were humble and easy to approach. They'd put together a useful list of places to visit around Amritsar, with short descriptions. The homestay is in a residential area about 2 km from the Golden Temple precinct. Our room was clean and spacious, with a balcony, and there's also a terrace with a view. I'd recommend it for longer stays.

The owner is humble and a great host, and breakfast is homemade and unlimited. The larger room is a good choice if you want direct access to the balcony, with better light and ventilation. They have AC, but it costs extra, so check on that. Scooties are available to rent too.
