Manje Bistre Dormitory

The washroom could use some improvement, though the rest of the stay was nice. The dorm beds were comfortable, each with its own curtain and light, and the air conditioner worked. Golden Temple, Jaliyawala Bagh, and Hall Bazaar are all within walking distance. I’d recommend it.

If you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend it, especially for solo travelers or a group of friends. It’s easy to walk to tourist spots, and there are lots of food choices just outside since the hostel doesn’t serve meals. The dorms are better than the private rooms, and the bathrooms are just okay, neither bad nor good. Room service was below par. Very budget-friendly, but I wouldn’t choose it for a family.

The single beds were in good condition, and the hotel was cheaper than others. I stayed one night at Manje Bistre when I visited Golden Temple on 24th March. The staff was very polite, but the special rooms and bathrooms weren’t clean.

The dorms were nice and the bunk beds were good, but I wouldn’t book a private room here. Mine was tiny, with nowhere to store anything, cobwebs and stains on the walls, and used soap waiting when I arrived. The room in the pictures wasn’t what I got. If you want a nice room, I can’t recommend it. Just stick to the bunks.
