The Nook

The room itself was cosy, quiet, well furnished, and in an excellent location, but poor upkeep and staff attitude let the property down. The bathroom was in a horrible state, wasn’t cleaned properly, and the drain didn’t work. The bedsheets were dirty with hair on them, and I had to ask for towels. Parking had been listed when I booked. At check-in, staff sent me to park on the next street, saying a hotel guest had left a car in front of the property. That wasn’t true, it was a neighbour’s car. After I insisted on proper parking, they asked the neighbour to move it. I checked out at 0800h and no one was at reception. Calls went unanswered. I saw staff sleeping in adjoining rooms, so I left the key on the desk. Owners, please supervise your staff. This is a good property being let down by their attitude and maintenance.

The reception and room service teams were really kind and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay at the nook bbsr, and would recommend it to friends and family.

The staff were warm and cordial throughout my two days at 488, The Nook, and for the money I’d recommend the hotel. My room was clean, with decent lighting, a smooth ceiling fan, and air conditioning that ran at full strength. The food was very tasty. The bathroom facilities were normal, and the TV had the usual channels.

Friendly service and tasty food with a good range of choices. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. A great stay.
