The one thing that worked well was the hot water, available 24/7. Otherwise, the food was unhygienic, and the water they gave us was in a local bottle. The rooms had no ventilation, see-through windows with no privacy, and window ACs with broken windows that even a rat could get through. The sheets and pillow covers stank, and the quilt and doormats were dirty. There's no lift, all rooms are above the second floor, and the bellboy didn't seem to care about helping. The staff were uneducated and barely responded or helped, and it wasn't couple-friendly. Pathetic hotel, a waste of money, worth about 100 bugs. There are more than 200 very nice hotels around the Golden Temple.

We left before using the full two days we had booked. The staff were unprofessional and just watched from inside instead of helping with luggage. They first gave us a ground-floor room beside the desk. After we argued, we got a third-floor room, but that was right beside the kitchen. The bedsheets were old. A horrible experience.

It's a small, cheap hotel with basic facilities, handy for visitors staying in the city for a couple of days. I think it has been taken over by The Red hotel, and its name is now the Red hotel, previously Krishna Castle.

The door locks don't work, so you always have to use the keys to shut them. It's a nice place for couples and bachelor couples, though a little away from the Golden Temple.

The hotel members acted like total frauds. Even after paying, you may not get a room. I suggest everyone never book here. Worst hotel.
