OYO 14926 AK residency

Getting back to the station was difficult too. There was no auto or rickshaw nearby, so at night we had to walk at least 1.5 km to find one, and the auto fare was 85 rupees. Our room had an LED TV, but Airtel d2h hadn't been recharged, so it seemed to be there just for show. Breakfast was cold and oily chole with pudi or bature, since they don't have their own kitchen. They also don't allow online food orders to the room, so you're stuck with the hotel menu, which costs three times the market price. The booking details said outside orders were allowed, though it mentioned online ordering too. The receptionist had no billbook when I asked for a hard copy bill, which seemed like a joke for a hotel using the OYO brand. I had to ask for an ordinary bill with a seal instead. I also asked to use a room for five minutes to change clothes after returning from the temple. They agreed in the morning, but when we came back that evening, they said all the rooms were full. I checked their system and saw them empty. They said there was a room on Terus, but its washroom was a servant bathroom. I couldn't ask my family to change in a servant's room. Earlier, at 10am, I called the epbx to check out at 10:30, and they cut off the AC power. We checked out at 11 and left our luggage at reception. I checked in on 23 Aug at 10 pm. I'd booked a saver X room for 750/- per night, but nowhere did it say there was no bathroom in the room. The listing showed bathroom and shower among the facilities, with 25+ items. At reception, they told me this package had a common bathroom. How were we supposed to know what saver and classic meant? Who travelling with family would use a common bathroom, especially when the property is described as 3 star? The receptionist then charged me an extra 200 for an attached bathroom. The hotel is down a small lane, in an area that made me wonder where we'd ended up, almost like Pakistan. In room no 34, the LED was there but the Airtel d2h was inactive. I would never recommend oyo 14926 AK residency to anyone. We went on vacation, not to be cheated and have the trip spoiled. Think twice. My suggestion is to pay 100-200 rupees more and avoid booking this hotel. The choice is yours.
