OYO 28646 Hotel Golden Heart

The rooms themselves were okay, but there was no water in the washroom. Staff couldn’t fix it, so they moved us to another room, where the same problem continued, then told us to just adjust. The management seemed inexperienced and helpless, and did nothing about it. There were other problems too: the TV didn’t work, and we had to ask two or three times for blankets. One friend hurt himself trying to open a door because its lock wasn’t working properly. Worst hotel. Please don’t book.

We paid Rs. 1,500/- per room per night for two nights at Hotel Golden Heart in the Bus Stand Area of Amritsar, on 29th & 30th December 2018. The rooms and beds were small but nicely decorated, and the bathrooms were clean. There’s no geyser, though. Bathing water comes from a rooftop boiler when it’s switched on. There wasn’t a restaurant or kitchen yet, though one was being prepared. The rooftop restaurant was also only a future plan, and a bar was under construction on the underground floor. They provided just a small soap, no other toiletries, and no complimentary mineral water bottles like the good hotels do. There’s no lift, and the steep stairs are hard to climb, though they have a plan to build one. It could look promising if the facilities are completed, but for now it’s an ordinary hotel.

A friend of mine came down with a fever and nausea, and at 7 am I couldn’t find an open pharmacy. I learned they wouldn’t open until 9.30 am, so I went back and asked the receptionist and manager if they had any medicine. They said they did, but refused to give us any. I pleaded because my friend was getting worse, but they still wouldn’t help. The manager and staff seemed completely insensitive to customers. Money aside, if you can do such a small thing for someone, like give them one medicine, you should. Please never go here. Very poor service and staff.

It’s couple friendly too, and being near the bus stop makes the hotel convenient. My experience at Golden ♥ hotel was family friendly, with a very cooperative staff. The deluxe room and AC facility made it suitable for customers.
