OYO 30935 Appna Ghar Hotel

I stayed from 2 September 2018 to 5 September 2018, and the service was terrible. The rooms were dusty and unclean. There was no free morning tea, and breakfast was limited and not enough for an adult. Ordering more meant paying extra. Lunch came from a nearby dhaba, but the portions were small and they charged more for extra food. I ordered 9 plates and they brought 6 while saying it was 9. The owner seemed like a complete thug to me and was always there to loot guests. They also charge nearly double online for the same services, so I’d book in Amritsar instead. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was dirty and small, and the service was awful. Our booking included breakfast, but the hotel refused to serve it even after we showed our booking history. The lady owner was arrogant and wouldn’t help when we asked about the booking or for information. She told her staff in their local language to talk to us and not disturb her. The staff had no manners, and they failed to keep their commitment. There was no service or courtesy. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen, and I don’t think anyone should stay there with that kind of behavior and service.

The breakfast was really good, and their tea is especially worth asking for. The host was warm too. It’s about a 15-minute walk from golden temple, so it works if you want to spend less on a hotel. For the price, the room was good, with an attached washroom and a TV. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, though.

Mr. Gupta was a very nice person, and they arranged a station pickup for 15 people at 2:00 AM. The location is good, within walking distance of Golden Temple. The rooms were clean and spacious, so it’s good value for money. There’s still some room for improvement, though Mr. Gupta said they had a complete renovation planned.
