The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help, and the place is very close to the temple. That’s why I’m giving it three stars. I booked through Oyo, but the rooms were a bit dirty and the blankets and bed sheets smelled. It’s also hard to find because the banner says RR Guest house, and the location on Google Maps is wrong.

I’d suggest the hotel next door, Raj Tirath Niwas. Its staff are much friendlier and the rooms are cleaner. This place looked nothing like the pictures. My room was filthy, with bugs coming out of the bed frame, stains on the sheet, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks.

It’s not easy to find, but it’s near Langar Hall and Golden temple, and an auto can get you there for just 10 rs. The room was neat and clean, and my stay was better than average. They gave us purified water as a welcome drink. The rooms are small, though, and there’s a big TV screen.

The price is affordable, and security is good. My room was hygienic, the bathroom clean, and the staff behaved well, though they took a while to become available. A good place to stay.
