Stamps Golden Lagoon By Eight Continents

Our four-day stay in Room No. 304, the Golden Family Suite, during the second week of March 2026 was disappointing, despite the positive reviews that led us to book. The room had no fan, a tiny window with a broken fixture, and no natural light, so it felt suffocating. There was a mild odor from the AC vents, and strong tandoori kitchen smells came into the room. The liquid hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo seemed to be the same product in different containers, which made us doubt the personal care items. On one of the four days, we got back around 6:45 PM and called the restaurant to ask for hi-tea. Rather than explain the hours politely, a staff member abruptly said it was served only from 4 PM to 6 PM and banged the phone down. We were staying in the family suite for four days and had only asked for a cup of tea. The restaurant was open from 7 AM to 11 PM, so it seemed like a simple request to accommodate. The rude way the call was handled left a poor impression of the service. I wouldn't recommend this property. Nearby options such as SureStay by Best Western Amritsar or Hotel Ecolite Mars Amritsar may offer better facilities and service in the same area.

The staff were very rude. They kept us waiting for two hours before giving us a room, then started calling us about checkout from the morning itself. Very unprofessional and poor service, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We booked online, while people booking at the property were given rooms for half the price.

The staff were polite and check-in and checkout were easy. The hotel is opposite the main langar hall, within walking distance of the local market and Darbar Sahib. Thanks to the attendees, Ms Prabhjot Kaur and Mr Shubham Tiwari.

The room cost ₹4,000 a night, but the experience was highly disappointing. The TV didn't work, the AC wasn't functioning properly, and both the room and washroom were extremely small and uncomfortable. Water kept clogging in the washroom, and the problem was never fixed despite us raising it. When we complained about the AC, they told us to open the window. The centralized AC was only running in fan or heat mode and couldn't cool the room. Completely unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
