Vedatmana By The Sea

Booking photos gave us a very different idea of the place from what we found. The pool was in a horrible state, and instead of enjoying our stay, we spent the time waiting for it to be cleaned because the property wasn’t ready for guests. The woman we spoke with was rude, and the owners weren’t cooperative. I felt cheated by the booking. It wasn’t worth it, and it still bothers me that people can behave like such cheaters.

We’d paid the full amount before arriving, and when things went wrong we were stuck here because they wouldn’t help or refund us. The pool shown in the listing was a muddy swamp, the air conditioners didn’t work, and the owner seemed unconcerned about getting anything fixed. For the top dollar we were charged, it was a terrible disappointment. The place is sold as a Greece-esq boutique villa, but our experience felt like an appalling fraud against customers. The owners would go to any length to save their skin. They were the worst example of hospitality, and experiences like this are why people don’t trust private properties in India.

We had lovely rooms, remarkable food, and courteous, well-mannered staff. The customer service was wonderful too. The setting is beautiful, right on the beach, and breakfast on our private balcony each morning made the experience. I especially loved the Infinity pool. I’m planning to visit Vedatmana villa by the sea again this October.

We spent most of our stay by the pool, and it couldn’t have been better. The people there made sure we were comfortable and went out of their way to get whatever we needed. We were with friends and fell in love with the villa, its view and location, and the people.
