Lords Plaza-Ankleshwar

Breakfast was good, and there was proper parking. Our room had been renovated recently, with a clean bathroom and all the amenities. Sahil helped us check in late at night, walked us to the room, and explained the property clearly. Great location close to the highway.

The rooms were clean and fine for a short visit, but checkout turned the stay sour. We arrived around 10 PM for one night and hadn't used anything from the minibar. The staff still accused us forcefully of taking drinks and demanded money. They couldn't show any evidence when I asked, such as empty bottles in the trash. It felt like a deliberate scam. The staff seemed unprofessional and poorly trained, and management should look into this. Watch out for unexpected charges.

The location is handy for getting to the railway station, and the rooms are a decent size. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. But the stay fell short in several ways: housekeeping was poor, and the linens were dirty. Even after I complained, the same linens were brought back. The TV was bad, with a remote missing its battery. They also wouldn't give us a second key for a twin room, so the two of us had to go everywhere together. There's no porter or bellboy. With those issues sorted, it could easily have been a 4 Star hotel.

The restaurant food was excellent, and the menu was a delight. My room had no hot water, and the taps didn't work properly. All three shower taps came on together. Housekeeping couldn't fix it, and since we were only there one night, we put up with it. The kettle smelled bad, and the washroom floor didn't slope properly, leaving water pooled all over.
