Chris makes guests feel safe by tailoring his advice to each person's situation and suggesting safer ways to get around Goa. He's an experienced backpacker from his younger years, and understands the risks and stresses that can come with traveling that way. That experience is especially useful for someone new to backpacking. His English is excellent, and he communicates clearly. The assistant manager and maid also support and advise travelers, helping create a safe base for exploring Goa. The hotel itself is extremely clean and spacious, and we had a lovely time. The real rating might be three stars, though the service Chris provides through his experience is five-star. Thanks to Chris and the team for a great stay.

The owner, Christopher, was good, and the property felt like home during our four-day stay. But Ankush's arrogant and unprofessional behavior seriously spoiled the experience and our vacation mood. I had planned to leave a five-star rating, but what happened on the last day changed my mind. When we discussed the forgotten adult charge, Ankush spoke rudely. We understood and accepted that there would be no discount, but his manner with customers was unacceptable. His way of speaking showed little respect or common sense. Later, when we asked him to arrange a cab and tried to negotiate the price, he was disrespectful. He told us to “go and somewhere,” then told my friend to “go and sleep.” He also accused my friend of speaking arrogantly, though we were talking normally. Telling a paying guest to go and sleep was profoundly disrespectful, regardless of his role. We paid for our stay and expected to be treated with respect. Christopher, you know how much good reviews matter. Please address Ankush's conduct and make sure he learns to refuse a request or handle cab arrangements and price discussions respectfully when he can't help. We avoided a big argument or a late-night complaint because we were tourists and didn't want further trouble with locals. Staff behavior like this could cost you business and good reviews. Future travelers may want to consider this before booking, as it can spoil a vacation.

We booked this guest house recently, and Ankush's unprofessional approach ruined the mood of our vacation. We came to enjoy ourselves, not have our happy vibe spoiled. When he told me, “you go and sleep,” I was conscious of how I acted and hadn't raised my voice. He needs to learn how to deal with customers and run a business. If we had been locals, yesterday's incident could have become a big issue for his business and for him, but we left politely. It was a very bad experience.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and nicely equipped, and Christopher knew the area well and could help with pretty much anything we needed in Goa. Such a lovely place. I'd book here again for sure.
