Hotel Grand Kasturi

Three weeks here and no problems at all. The stay was pleasant, the staff polite, and breakfast tasty and healthy. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with a TV, mini fridge and electric kettle. Reception staff were kind and helpful. A very positive stay at Grand Kasturi hotel, Marathahalli in Bangalore.

We needed somewhere to stay in Spice Garden, and this worked well. The staff are polite and hardworking. Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke, so they changed it when we asked. The replacement was better, though it still had a bit of a smell. The buffet breakfast runs out quickly, so go early. The staff work hard, but I think some things are beyond their control. Bath water was heated with a rod.

We stayed three days and two nights in a superior room, but a pillar in the middle made it feel much smaller than expected. The rooftop pub was noisy, and most rooms had noise every night until 12:30 am. Not a great choice with kids. The breakfast buffet wasn't fancy or particularly good, though it filled us up. Grand Kasturi is decent for the price and location if you're using public transport. I'd avoid bringing your own vehicle because parking isn't great. Service was confusing too. We asked for several water refills and were given bottled water, then at checkout they charged me for two bottles. I'm baffled why only two were charged, and what happened with the others.

Krishna, the manager, was top-notch at welcoming and hosting us. The rooms had a great vibe and were beyond what I expected, with all the amenities. Comfortable beds and clean washrooms. Breakfast could be better, but I'd highly recommend staying here.
