Resort Rio

The staff made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, with warm, personal, thoughtful service. My first solo trip here was even better than the visit I made twelve years ago, which I loved. My Ultra Luxury Suite was huge and extremely comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. The resort is spotless and beautifully designed, yet it never feels crowded, even with more than 400 rooms. Breakfast at Pickled Mango was excellent, with fresh dosas and plenty of choice. Aur Jalsa is a must try too, with amazing Rajasthani and Gujarati dishes and brilliant service. The location is peaceful but still close enough to explore North Goa’s beaches. I especially enjoyed a quiet day at Ashvem and the sunset at Varca. This place holds special memories for me, has exceeded my expectations again, and I’m already planning another stay. Highly recommend.

They hosted the Fide chess World Cup perfectly. The buffet had countless vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices, and the staff’s service was exceptional. I also had a great pool side massage, and the laundry service was reliable. They never mixed up my clothes, even though I didn’t count them myself. I only wished there were a jacuzzi spa by the pool and chilled water bottles at the buffet. Apart from those two things, no flaws at all. There were so many fun activities too.

A peaceful, luxurious atmosphere, with beautiful architecture and lush landscaping. Resort Rio is well kept, and the rooms are spacious, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The staff were courteous and professional, and handled each request efficiently and with a smile. There are several in-house restaurants serving different cuisines, and breakfast was fresh, varied, and nicely presented. The pool, spa, and recreation options suit families and couples. It’s close to Baga and Anjuna, handy for exploring North Goa while still feeling quiet and exclusive. A comfortable stay with good service and Goan hospitality.

Some guests find getting to the main beaches a little inconvenient. The resort is near the beach, but not on it, so people use the shuttle or local transport. It’s generally seen as a relaxing, upscale option in Goa, with easy access. The rooms and suites are spacious, and the villas can have up to four bedrooms and private plunge pools. Families and larger groups appreciate the size, while suites may also have separate living areas.
