The rooms were clean and tidy, and the food had a tasty, homemade feel. The setting is very calm, with the river close by. But the menu was tiny, maybe three or four dishes, and there was no milk, juice, ice cream, or dessert. The pool also looked poorly maintained. The tariff was extremely high, almost what you'd pay at a five-star hotel for one day.

We found Clirind Resort, Athirappilly peaceful and surrounded by nature, just right for a getaway. The staff were helpful and courteous, and our comfortable room was kept in good shape. We really enjoyed the calm, refreshing stay and the hospitality.

We spent a lot of our stay in the pool, which was well maintained and had clear water. The room was spacious, with a cozy king bed. The AC blower made a noise that disturbed our sleep, though. Apart from that, it was good value, and we'd like to return with our family. We had a good stay.

The room photos online gave a very misleading impression. The rooms smelled bad, the bed and comforter stank, and the furniture had termites. The place felt extremely unhygienic and badly managed, and breakfast was tasteless and poorly prepared. It was a horrible hotel experience and a waste of money that could ruin a trip. I strongly warn people not to book here.

The river is only about 50 MTRS away, but when we visited there was little water and lots of rocks showing. The waterfalls aren't nearby. During peak time I paid INR 5500 per night for a double room. Given the state of the rooms, furniture, and cleanliness, I think the property is worth 3000 at most. The place itself is just okay.
